Frequently Asked Questions
Where do you fly?
Alliance regularly captures aerial photography throughout the entire Chicago - Milwaukee metro region. Our extended service area reaches to central Illinois and central Wisconsin, as well as Indianapolis. We serve clients throughout the country via a network of professional aerial photographers.
How often do you fly?
We fly on-demand, when you need us. However, given weather and previously scheduled flights, we recommend that you call at least a week before you need your images.
We have other sites around the country. Can you help us?
Yes. Alliance has worked with the best photographers in almost every major US city, and we would be happy to provide referrals to these photographers. Alternatively, many clients enjoy the simplicity of having Alliance handle their entire project, in which case we coordinate all sites with other photographers - a process which is invisible to you.
Do you fly and shoot at the same time?
This is probably the most common question. We fly with pilots so that we can concentrate on the photography. Also, flying with another pilot allows someone to be on the controls and looking for other traffic at all times.
It's sunny and you're not up flying my site - why not?
It's probably hazy. Haze can develop any time of year and is a major impediment to aerial photography. On hazy days you may see blue sky above you but in-flight visibility may be less than a mile - much less than we need to capture quality images.
Do you take passengers?
While flying is an adventure, it's not practical for clients to join us on photography flights. We would, however, be happy to arrange for a separate flight with a trusted local flight school.
